Must Watch: Celtics v. Pistons (Game 3)
The Boston Celtics are up in the NBA Finals 2 games to none.
"Mr. Hollywood" (left) and the Lakers return home tonight it what seems to be a must win. This is because if the Lakers lose, they would go down 3-0, a margin that no NBA team has ever come back from.
So does this make it a must watch?
You tell me.

Mr. 600 (the clean one)
Pictured: Mr. Ken Griffey Jr., the first clean member added to the 600 HR Club since Hank Aaron in 1971.
With the Griffey addition, the 600 Home Run Club now consists of six four players: Ken Griffey Jr., Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds, and Sammy Sosa.
GO HOME
Bears RB Cedric Benson was sent home early this morning from the team's Organized Team Activities. This comes after Benson was arrested for the second time in little over a month this past Saturday. Benson was arrested for drunk driving.
This goes under the "How Could You Screw Up Being a Professional Athlete?" category as far as I'm concerned. Benson was given the gift of football talent and the privilege to play in the NFL. Is it even worth it to take a risk to drive after drinking when you can easily afford a car service with your NFL Salary?
Wake up.
***UPDATE: The Chicago Bears have officially released Cedric Benson.
Strahan Mania
In honor of the retirement of Michael Strahan, here are some of the more interesting bits recorded during his career and final Super Bowl run:
End Game: Hasek, Strahan to Retire on Top
The Power of the Stache
Pictured Above: Jason Giambi, after using "The Power of the Stache" to belt out his 14th Home Run of the Season in yesterday's game vs. the Royals
And yes, in that rather blurry photo, the jumbo screen does read "Power of the Stache." Special thanks to Yankee stadium, proving that the only thing worse than Jason Giambi's mustache is celebrating it.
Leading Off
Nothing pleases me more than watching athlete's (and in this case, horse owner's) overconfident interviews after they lose miserably. First, you have Big Brown who was a 'foregone conclusion' to win Saturday's Belmont Stakes. He finished 10th/10.
Then, you have the ever-lovable Tom Brady boasting about how the Patriots are going to easily score more than 17 points in the Super Bowl vs. the Giants. His Patriots lost the game in regulation 17- 14. I bet 17 points were looking mighty fine to TB after the game.
What's worse?

Your Boy Is. . .
It's been a little over four months.
But as they say in the 'biz,' your boy is back.
As you can already tell, some all of the old articles have mysteriously vanished. But don't be alarmed, this isn't really the case. If you're in dire need of the past content, you'll find a nice link to the left.
The old articles have been wiped out from this page because after being gone for four months, I felt it would be nice to start over fresh (FYI: Thanks to the lovely blogspot host site, starting over fresh meant deleting 266 posts one-by-one).
But enough of the chit-chat, eh?
Lets get down to business.
Hibernation
Hello there, Captain fans.
I realized a few weeks back that it's actually quite tough to update a sports based blog with every important news story every minute of the day when I have many other things going on in my life.
With that said, I've decided to put "The Captain" on hold.
But don't be too saddened. Chances are I will return eventually, with a different type of idea. Instead of highlighting every single news story, it will be more of a one-post-a-day type blog.
Until then, however, there are links located on the right of my page for all your sports news. Of course, the links on the right don't provide the satirical brilliance that I am able to offer, but lets face it, they do get the job done.
